King Island Golf is ready for take-off – Ocean Dunes Sold

Ocean Dunes golf course on King Island has been sold to a Melbourne based consortium.

Chairman of the Ocean Dunes Board, Andrew Mitchell confirmed that the new consortium intends to develop a new clubhouse and much needed accommodation on the course. This is not only great news for Ocean Dunes but for King Island as well.

The new consortium brings vast experience to the project and will expand the already popular golfing destination into one of the premium ‘must do’ golf and leisure hotspots in the country. The current Board and investors have taken the project as far as we could, congratulate the new consortium on their purchase and look forward to watching the exciting next stage develop.

When asked about the sale price Mitchell explained, ”as there is a strict confidentiality clause in the contract, the sale price and terms of the sale are not to be disclosed. The Board also thanks Paul Mason Real Estate for negotiating the sale of the golf course”.

The King Island Hotel remains on the market with Paul Mason Real Estate.

Mitchell went on say that “we have never seen the course in as good a condition as it is now. Ocean Dunes and King Island is definitely open for business. With hopefully the worst of the impacts of the pandemic over last two years behind us, we can look forward for golfers to come and play quality links golf”.
